These terms are an agreement between you and David Seelos, operating as Pooz. By using the Pooz app or getpooz.com you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Pooz.
What Pooz is
Pooz is a free map of public restrooms with details, ratings, reviews, photos, and short-lived heads-ups contributed by members. Restroom details come from members, from Google Maps Platform, and from OpenStreetMap contributors. Conditions change constantly, so treat everything as a best effort and use your own judgment on site.
Accounts
Browsing needs no account. To contribute you sign in with Apple, Google, or an email link and choose a public username. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (15 in France, or the age of digital consent where you live). You can delete your account at any time from Profile, then Account.
Community rules
Pooz has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Do not post:
- Photos of people, including yourself, or anything that identifies a person.
- Nudity, sexual content, violence, or anything unlawful.
- Harassment, hate, threats, or targeting of any person or group.
- Spam, advertising, fake reviews, or reviews of places you did not visit.
- Restrooms that are not open to the public, private homes, or duplicate listings.
- Entry codes, access codes, or anything that defeats a restroom's access control.
Every review and photo can be reported from the app. We review reports promptly and remove content that breaks these rules, usually within 24 hours. We may remove any content and suspend or delete any account at our discretion, including for repeated or serious violations, without notice.
Your content
You own what you post. You give Pooz a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt your reviews, photos, and restroom details as part of the service, including after you delete your account where content has been merged into a listing (for example restrooms you added). You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
Map data
Map imagery, business names, and search suggestions are provided by Google and are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Some public restroom locations come from © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License.
Games and rewards
Tiers, badges, challenges, the Weekly Quest, and Poozies are for fun. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and may be adjusted, reset, or withdrawn at any time, including to correct abuse.
No warranty, limited liability
Pooz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any restroom exists, is open, is clean, is accessible, or is safe. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pooz is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes and termination
We may change Pooz or these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and tell you in the app. You may stop using Pooz at any time; we may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
